Kremmling is the perfect base camp for your snowmobile expedition to what many consider the mecca of snowmobiling: Rabbit Ears Pass. Stay overnight to explore both Rabbit Ears and Spring Creek, or simply enjoy a beer and a burger after a fun day of powder running.

Rabbit Ears Recreation Area

Snowmobilers will find hundreds of acres to explore on the east side of Rabbit Ears Pass. Nearly 250 acres feature groomed trails, and more experienced riders can go off trail for a rugged, back-country adventure. There are multiple access points and parking areas for trucks and trailers directly off Hwy 40.

Spring Creek

Slightly less popular but no less spectacular is the Spring Creek Recreation Area south of Kremmling. Take Spring Creek Road west from Hwy 9 (about 10 miles south of Kremmling), and keep going up. The forest service maintains a parking area for snowmobilers, and a local club has marked about 27 miles of trails on the National Forest.
