Kremmling, Colorado is located in Grand County, on US 40 between Winter Park and Steamboat Springs. Kremmling was settled in the late 1800s by hardy pioneers, many of whose families still reside in the area.
Ranching was - and to still is - a primary way of life in this small mountain town. Working ranches now share the land with guest ranches, which include Latigo and Bar Lazy J ranches.
Logging related enterprises are another main source of income for the community. Hesters Log & Lumber, Confluence Energy and woodZwayz are all located in the Kremmling area, and all make unique products from lodgepole pine. Confluence and woodZwayz, in particular, have found ways to make products and art from the beetle-killed pine that is widespread in the Northern Rockies.
