Schools

West Grand School District enrolls approximately 560 students in three schools located in Kremmling. The community and staff maintain a high level of support through participation in school activities and the West Grand Community Education Foundation.  Students consistently score well above national and state averages on composite achievement tests. A low teacher-pupil ratio exists throughout the K-12 program.  A comprehensive high school program includes college prep, general and vocational  courses in business, agriculture and building trades. A state-of-the-art business classroom utilizes high tech computers. The multi-Media Tech Center in the Middle School is used jointly by the community and the schools. West Grand High School students enjoy an array of vocational and academic opportunities.

In 2000 West Grand High School was voted one of the top 100 schools in the nation for technology. The school has adopted a progressive and aggressive view toward technology and its use in the classroom. West Grand's student to computer ratio is 2:1.

Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of extra curricular activities. Boys and girls in grades 7-12 participate in a strong athletic program which includes football, basketball, track, wrestling and volleyball.

A School-to-Career program is  now in full operation, offering students apprenticeships or internships in 50% of the local businesses. Plans are to expand the program to give even more students opportunities "in the field."  Kremmling is proud of the West Grand School System. Facilities are excellent and provide a pleasant atmosphere. Highly qualified teachers provide effective classroom instruction in a personal and caring manner.
